DEATHWISH: Value Menu

My latest series for Deathwish! Inspired by fast food mascots from my youth. People forget just how damn creepy the Hamburglar was back in the day. The line art is pen, brush and india ink on Strathmore 500 series plate finish bristol board. Colors are done in Photoshop.

DEATHWISH: Acid In Hollywoodland

Here’s the new series of Deathwish graphics I illustrated, inspired by the original Alice In Wonderland story! I drew these with brush, dip pen and india ink on bristol board. They’re colored in Illustrator by Baker Boys art director Alfred Rodriguez. I was a little worried about all the crazy neon colors, but once we got the samples back I knew Alfred was right on the money. Find ‘em at your local skate shop or online retailer.

Nerduo: Blog To The Future

Here’s a piece that I’ve neglected to blog about for some unknown reason. My friend Mike Essl and his partner in crime Robb Irrgang of Nerduo commissioned me to do this Back to the Future 2 inspired illustration. I’ve been a fan of the trilogy and illustrator Drew Struzan’s posters since I was a kid. I had no idea how hard it would be to try and replicate that style digitally until I was deep into it. I’m posting some images of the process, final art and close up below. Click to enlarge:

Royally Delicious!

Check out the limited edition cereal boxes I illustrated and designed in celebration of the Royal Wedding:

I had a blast working on these even though it meant many hours of lost sleep. A crack team of ninjas made this project go from a concept to real product in a couple of weeks time. My thanks to everyone on the team! Purchase these while you can at The Royal Breakfast Company!

Deathwish Holiday Season

This latest series was inspired by the old Wacky Packages sticker packs. As a little kid I loved these nasty precursors to the Garbage Pail Kids. The original art is hand painted with gouache on 11×17 Bristol board.

This board was inspired by the famous Up In Smoke Cheech and Chong movie poster:
